Well, in this game the government has a special place called the center where they transform unwanted men and women into more acceptable people. They do this by changing their looks, their personalities and tweaking everything until they become sexually appealing. You happen to be locked in this center and they try their various experiments on you. They change your personality several times until you find the one that fits.
